Happy Birthday Dear Avonlea!

Where did this past year go? And why is it  that everyone else's children seem to stay young for so much longer than mine? In particular my baby. I admit I'd like to hold onto her, keep her little just a bit longer. But none the less, she is now one year old!

She is such a character! She loves to be the center of attention and loves keeping up with her brothers!

Avvy's cake. It was made to match the plates and tableware, which of course I forgot to document. With the abundance of heart decorations around her birthday, it was natural to incorporate them into a little girls party.

Enjoying her quiet book, which took HOURS to make! I think the other kids love it more than she does. Ahhh, peace and quiet!

She loves anything snuggly and anything off limits, like Olivia's American Girl doll Felicity. So we gave her a much less expensive one to drag around.

She loved opening and closing her Winnie the Pooh card which sang the Winnie the Pooh song when she opened it.

By the time we gave her her cake, she was so tired and wanted nothing to do with it!

What a fun little girl, rough and tumble on one hand and such a "girly girl" on the other!
